The summer of 2010 turned out to be a tragic one for Russia. More than one hundred villages in 14 regions of Russia were destroyed by the fires, at least 50 people died, and thousands were left homeless.
Local residents conducted religious services asking God for rain to prevent new wildfires like the one that partially destroyed their village.
